I do not use it and I'm not involved in accounting, so that we can only speculate.
My best guesses are:
IR CPT codes may be as long as it comes with a modified version of -22 to nominate a "normal"
Laser is not reimbursable under Medicare, to ensure consistency in a clinic that sees a large population of Medicare, you may have been deleted CPT code of their repitoire ... the full realization that Medicare garbage anyway to get a form, but it would be "more legal certainty" under the old settlement.
I do not say "right
... CPT system, the code should be removed in any case and more problems than it worth. If Medicare is aware that any documents they have created is more costly to enforce, which will reduce the cost to change this.
... and we hope that their work will get much easier.
